Part-Time Hotel Laundry Attendant

Our laundry attendants perform a variety of duties including washing, ironing, pressing, and folding linens. Our ideal candidate has experience with commercial laundry products and the ability to lift 20 pounds or more regularly.

Job seekers should be personable, organized, and enjoy working on a team. Potential candidates should also have weekend and evening availability.

Compensation : $14.50 - $16 hourly

Responsibilities :

• Put all laundry in a washing machine and follow the manufacturer's directions for adding the cleaning chemicals
• Check that all cleaning supplies are stocked and notify the general manager if any are running low
• Inspect all linens to identify stains and remove stains with appropriate cleaning products and techniques
• Take out the clothes and linens after washing and dry them following the manufacturer's recommendations
• Inspect laundry equipment visually and report any maintenance issues to the building management
• Coordinate with house persons to ensure all dirty linens are collected for laundry and clean linens are available when needed
• Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled shifts. Be positive and enthusiastic about work
• Work diligently on assigned tasks and take initiative. Work well with other associates

Qualifications :

• This position requires the ability to lift 20 or more pounds regularly
• 1 or more year as a laundry attendant, housekeeper or a similar role is strongly desired
• Good understanding of commercial cleaning techniques and products
• Must have graduated high school or received an equivalent certification
• Impeccable work ethic and excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
