We are currently searching for an experienced Technical Writer to support our Southeast Region located in Georgia or Florida .

This position can be remote.

What you’ll be doing :

• Writing technical language for proposals
• Conducting detailed Quality Control review of all regional marketing and communications materials, including providing in-depth gold team review of all proposals, presentation materials, etc.
• Verifying spelling throughout proposals is correct
• Checking for grammar errors in all regional documents
• Ensuring text is direct and not redundant
• Assisting the marketing manager and technical group leads in the development and implementation of effective training programs to improve the region’s overall written work product / language-based deliverables
• Coordinating with the marketing staff and technical staff to perform yearly resume updates
• Coordinating with the marketing staff and technical staff to develop project sheets

What you need to have :

• Bachelor’s degree in English or higher is required
• 1 - 3 years of experience in technical writing in the Civil Engineering industry is preferred
• Excellent technical writing skills
• Ability to understand technical writing, identify when something does not make sense or usage is inappropriate, and make corrections
• Ability to read an RFQ scope and create language for a proposal
• Ability to work with the technical staff to create clear, concise, and grammatically correct language for proposals for a variety of clients
• Excellent wordsmithing skills
• Experience drafting engineering proposals is a plus
