Job description
My client are seeking an experienced Storage Engineer to manage and innovate their storage infrastructure that supports their global trading strategies and research environments.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, open, and collaborative organizational structure.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Oversee existing storage infrastructure and design new storage solutions
- Conduct research and implement cutting-edge storage technologies
- Address complex storage, OS, and networking problems
- Create tools to boost the performance and monitoring of storage clusters
Essential Qualifications :
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise storage systems such as NetApp and Isilon
- Over 7 years of experience in HPC environments with large-scale storage (1PB+)
- Strong proficiency in Linux troubleshooting and NFS
- Expertise in Linux software RAID, ZFS, and other filesystems
- Skilled in Python and shell scripting
- Familiarity with distributed file systems
- Excellent communication abilities
- Capability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
- Effective time management, balancing solo and team tasks
- A keen interest in learning and applying new technologies swiftly
