The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace's strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise.

The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges.

EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space-enabled mission effects.

As a member of the Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department, you will provide technical capabilities to support our customers in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of space, air, and ground-based systems of systems to investigate architecture and concept of operations (CONOPS) performance in nominal and contested operating environments.

MS&A focus areas include agent-based modeling, red vs blue simulations, military utility and capability drawdown, killchain effectiveness, enterprise architecture resiliency, and command and control (C2) evaluation.

This 100% onsite position can be filled in either of our El Segundo, CA , Chantilly, VA , or Colorado Springs, CO offices.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Use and contribute to development of in-house and commercial- and government-off-the-shelf engineering analysis software tools.
  • Conduct technical deep dives, trade studies, and assessments in multi-disciplinary teams to define problems and support customer decisions.
  • Develop and deliver timely and technically accurate presentations and reports.
  • Travel occasionally (as necessary) to support customer efforts.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements :

  • Advanced (M.S. or Ph.D.) degree from an accredited college / university program in engineering (aerospace, astronautical, mechanical, or software), computer science, physics, operations research, or closely related technical field from an accredited school.
  • 0 - 1 year of industry experience.
  • Proficiency with orbital mechanics, space operations, or killchains.
  • Skill with a programming language including or similar to Python, C++, or MATLAB.
  • A history that shows personal accountability, a desire to learn, and an ability to adapt to varying tasks and priorities.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance (TS) with SCI access, which is issued by the U.

S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these :

  • Experience with a toolkit or framework including or similar to AFSIM, STK, or GMAT.
  • Direct experience with agent-based modeling, red vs blue simulations, military utility and capability drawdown analysis, killchain effectiveness, enterprise architecture resiliency, and command and control (C2) evaluation.
  • Significant and consistent contribution to a substantial technical analysis or software tool development project.
  • Current and active Top-Secret Clearance (TS) with SCI access.

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
