HERFF JONES, Outsourcing Expeditor Warwick, RI As a member of the Outsourcing team you'll play an integral role in shaping the future of Herff Jones.

Above all else, you'll be an agent for change as we launch multiple new initiatives to streamline how we do business and increase the quality of product we deliver to our clients.

In this role you will have regular interaction with the Supply Chain Manager and Outsourcing Supervisor.

What we want to accomplish

• Executes on the outsource processing plan
• Accurate sending and receiving of orders from internal departments and external vendors
• Timely distribution and processing of incoming and outgoing product
• Core Activities :
• Receives product from the production floor
• Process product of various metal quality levels.
• Checks and records precious metal item weights
• Packs order to various vendors for completion
• Unpacks and distributes order to the appropriate departments.
• Provides cross functional support in other areas as needed such as shipping
• Performs other miscellaneous tasks

Success Indicators

• Successfully executed daily processing of orders to achieve vendor unit projection plan
• Accurate recording of precious metal weights
• Proficient computer skills : Sending emails, intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word / Excel
• Previous experience in a shipping / receiving role
• Proven success in effectively communicating across all levels of an organization
• Demonstrated ability to organize shipments per vendor locations
• Ability to establish priorities and work independently
• Demonstrates multitasking skills
• Availability to work overtime as needed

Education

High school diploma / GED equivalent suggested

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 10 40 lbs. multiple times a day
• Finger agility is required for operations of computer keyboard and adding machine
• Ability to travel around the office and the factory briskly, several times a day
