This entry-level position is perfect for those eager to gain hands-on experience and grow in a dynamic environment. As a Construction Materials Engineering Technician , you'll primarily work outdoors, contributing to projects and ensuring their safety and quality.

Your Day-to-Day :

• Plan and Document Review : Understand project requirements before fieldwork; accurately record observations and test results related to construction materials.
• Metafield Utilization : Efficiently manage data using field and laboratory information systems.
• Equipment Maintenance : Ensure field and lab tools are accurate and meet industry standards.
• Special Inspection Observations : Follow International Building Code (IBC) standards for testing and inspecting construction materials.
• Stakeholder Communication : Engage with management, contractors, and clients to report project progress and address any concerns.

What You Bring :

• A High School diploma / GED
• 0-2 years of experience in construction testing / inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and / or asphalt materials
• One(1) or more active certifications, a plus :
• American Concrete Institute (ACI) : Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician
• International Code Council (ICC) : Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils)
• DOT Certifications in the fields of Aggregate, Conventional Density, Asphalt, and Concrete
• Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language
• Math skills with a basic understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure

Working Conditions and Physical Demands :

You are willing and able to perform the physical demands of this position with the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment such as :

• Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions
• Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially up to 12 hours a day
• Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs, (field / laboratory samples and equipment)
• Maneuvering field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground around active construction sites
