We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Event Lead to join our catering team. The Event Lead will execute various events such as weddings, corporate events, birthdays, and social gatherings.
This is a fast-paced role requiring flexibility to meet the needs of each personalized event.
Job duties :
- Lead events both offsite and in the banquet room.
- Pack and unpack for offsite events at our restaurant.
- Be present at events from start to finish.
- Follow floor plans and timelines given to you by the Director of Events or Catering Director.
- Properly execute a variety of dinner styles such as buffet, family style, and plated meals.
- Set up, operate, and tear down for bar service with proper knowledge of bar equipment.
- Lead both the FOH and BOH employees with proper communication.
- Communicate with Director of Events, Catering Coordinator, and Catering Chef.
- Clock all front of house employees in and out.
- Ensure all events are carried out successfully.
- Communicate with planner / coordinator for offsite events.
- Drive the company vehicle to and from the event.
Skills & Qualifications :
- Experience with FOH catering.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle changes in event plans and requirements.
- Must have WA state food handlers card and a MAST 12 permit.
Mandatory Requirements :
- Ability to stand and work on their feet for up to 12 hour shifts.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Travel up and down stairs unassisted, sometimes while carrying large objects.
