Security Officer Residential Patrol Part-Time

As a Security Officer Residential Patrol Part-Time in Mission Viejo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol residential areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for residents and guests. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will support a secure atmosphere. You will interact with residents, assist with access control, and respond to security-related concerns, all while embodying our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. This role is ideal for those who enjoy engaging with people and making a positive impact in a residential community.

Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

Tue 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Fri 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the residential community.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to residents and guests.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific guidelines.
  • Document all patrols, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
