Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in land development, commercial construction, and masonry construction.
The Estimator will be responsible for submitting estimates, managing subcontractors, and reviewing bids. The Estimator will collaborate with supervisors, project managers, and other estimating staff to ensure efficient delivery of bids.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze scope of work, plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to prepare accurate and timely estimates for projects.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and coordinate with subcontractors.
- Collaborate with project managers and other estimating staff to ensure bids are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
- Prepare and review bids, making sure all specifications and requirements are met.
- Develop relationships with subcontractors and understand their capabilities and pricing.
- Conduct reviews of existing contracts and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates and bids.
Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating
- Commercial construction and land development experience.
- Familiarity with masonry construction or any trade type work.
- Experience with bid reviews.
- Competency with estimation software, such as Viewpoint.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
