AESC's Tennessee gigafactory in Smyrna, which has been operational since 2012, produces batteries for Nissan. The Kentucky gigafactory in Bowling Green will supply Mercedes-Benz with high-performance battery cell modules.
The South Carolina gigafactory in Florence will supply technology-leading battery cells for new electric models produced in BMW Group's Spartanburg plant.

About the Role
AESC, a leading battery technology company, is seeking a dry electrode development engineer to be based in a US office. In this role, you need to develop dry electrode techniques based on the resources in US or EU, to support the development of dry electrode project pilot line and industrialization in China.
Including but not limited to material, characterizations, processing, and equipment relating to dry electrode technology.
What You Will Do
- Serve as an expert for dry electrode projects, providing technical support and guidance to internal project teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional global team to develop and implement dry electrode program.
- Develop, plan, and execute technical application experiments or other activities to solve key technical problems from dry electrode teams.
- Participate in technical conferences, seminars, and workshops to present or take back new solutions of dry electrode technology.
- Organize technical meetings between suppliers and Asia teams for introduction solutions or sharing newest results.
- Travel to China 20% of time.
What You Need
- Master's degree or above, Material, Chemical Engineering, or battery related major.
- Basic knowledge of Lithium-ion batteries, like chemical, electrochemical, structure and processing.
- At least 5 years of experience working in battery manufacturing.
- At least 3 years of experience working with dry electrode related researching and development, having deep understanding on dry electrode technology.
- Experienced and having a wide technical view on the industrial chain of dry electrode; deep contact with key technical solution providers is a plus.
- Basic knowledge on PPAP process, PFMEA, DFMEA or 6 sigma.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address technical challenges.
- Deep knowledge of basic physical and chemical science and engineering, innovative but practical.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Travel
Travel to China 20% of time. 30% domestic travel.
