Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Marketing to help lead the evolution of our marketing strategy for our rapidly growing advisor business.

LPL Financial is seeking a seasoned marketing leader to help attract new advisors to our ecosystem and introduce new capabilities to the marketplace.

This marketer will translate business objectives into a client-first marketing strategy centered on advisor audience needs and connected to LPL Financial’s comprehensive offering and solutions.

You will lead a team of marketing strategists reporting to our SVP Prospect Marketing. The ideal candidate will have experience leading B2B and B2C demand generation campaigns that leverage multiple owned, earned and paid channels including : paid media, social, e-mail, events, PR, direct mail and sponsorships.

This marketer will have a relentless focus on connecting marketing activities to business outcomes. This hands-on’ manager should excel in building strategy, planning the necessary details, and leading it to flawless execution.

They will be a curious marketer who is driven to learn and is energized by the opportunity to build something new, leveraging creativity and innovation every day.

The ideal candidate thrives in a highly collaborative, extremely fast-paced environment and is comfortable with ambiguity and pushing on the boundaries of what’s possible.

Candidates should have a passion for inspiring compelling, attention-grabbing content marketing and high-quality creative.

This role is located at either the company’s Fort Mill (SC) or San Diego (CA) office.

Responsibilities :

Translate business objectives into marketing campaign strategies and plans that increase awareness, consideration and preference

Develop and demonstrate deep acumen on the financial advisor audience, market and competitive insights to develop audience needs analysis, personas and targeting strategies of and inform campaign strategy

Lead the development of integrated campaign strategies and journeys, channel plans, creative and promotional assets across owned, earned and paid channels

Build demand generation and nurture strategies to propel prospective advisors through the decision cycle

Leverage cross-functional Center of Excellence teams across Brand, Product, PR, Communications, and Digital Activation to achieve marketing outcomes

Develop and test new approaches for reaching and engaging prospective advisors; continue introducing innovation and creativity to advance perception and disruption in the marketplace

Own the content marketing and editorial strategy that fuels communication frameworks

Direct external and internal creative agencies to produce compelling work that earns the attention of our target audience

Measure and report results, identify optimization opportunities, and prioritize future plans based on efficacy of performance

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration

10+ years of related B2B / B2C Marketing experience

Demonstrated ability to tie marketing activity to business outcomes

5+ years leading and developing high performing teams

Experience with integrated marketing and communications including content marketing, customer journeys, channel plans, personalization and data-driven marketing

Preferences :

Experience creating or leveraging content and thought leadership as core component of the marketing strategy

Experience in managing agency relationships

Exceptional relationship management skills and engaging with senior executives

Familiarity with marketing tech and automation tools, CRM systems and analytic platforms

Pay Range :

$148,100.00 - $246,900.00Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
