Join our dynamic team as a multifaceted professional in a key role at our building materials distribution warehouse. The Operations & Procurement Specialist will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, driving inside sales initiatives, and managing procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Warehouse Leadership (70%) :
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing building materials.
- Assist in supervising a small team, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
- Optimize warehouse layout for improved efficiency and space utilization.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits to minimize discrepancies.
- Inside Sales Representative (15%) :
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
- Promote and sell building materials, providing product information and addressing customer inquiries.
- Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Generate and follow up on leads, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication.
- Utilize CRM systems to track and manage customer interactions.
- Procurement Specialist (15%)
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement of building materials.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and evaluate supplier performance.
- Monitor inventory levels, anticipate demand, and place timely orders to prevent stockouts.
- Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets and control procurement costs.
- Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions to make informed procurement decisions.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in warehouse management, inside sales, and procurement.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Familiarity with building materials and construction industry preferred.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and CRM software.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Education & Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse management, inside sales, or procurement.
