Description :
Responsible for on-site event management including pre-event planning / site measurement, order management and on-site installation and tear-down.
Additionally, this position is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, and quality control measures of the event.
Field Operation Supervisor assists with the coordination of all Abbey inventory as well as external resources and arranges for necessary permits and inspections.
- Manage and support all pre-production activities including attending client production meetings, organizing internal production meetings, conducting site inspections and measurements, producing site diagrams via CAD program.
- Act as company liaison with customers; listen to and resolve service complaints; respond promptly and appropriately.
- Develop contacts and relationships to influence decisions, facilitate getting work done and expand one’s opportunities.
- May assist sales team on event design and equipment placement.
- Serve as main customer contact during event installation and tear-down, responsible for all on-site equipment orders and final customer sign-off and counts.
- Manage installation and tear-down teams on-site including ensuring worksite safety and quality control.
- Troubleshoot any logistics, equipment, electrical, HVAC and propane issues. Meet with Building and / or Fire Inspectors and sign off on all installations.
- Instruct customers on the correct usage of rental equipment.
- Organize and conduct safety meetings with all personnel both in house and on-site.
- Maintain an up to date safety log.
- Attend department, location and safety meetings.
- Attend industry-related functions as assigned by manager
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements :
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Oral communication, written communication, reading, math aptitude.
- Bilingual communication in English and Spanish desirable.
- Strong time management
- Organizational skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Experience using hand trucks, pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus.
- Ability to use and navigate a mobile device (tablet or phone).
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel, as well as the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds.
Must be available to work nights, weekends and even holidays as required by the company.
