Your Role : We are looking for an innovation-centric Senior Software Engineer to join our IT R&D Team who is passionate about Digital Transformation.
The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and implement software applications to support R&D business requirements, leading the development team and ensuring timely, budget-conscious delivery.
Your Responsibility :
- Develop software applications and systems for the R&D Organization tailored for functions such as Research Informatics, Lab Management Systems, and Research Data products.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy highly interactive and data-driven web applications. Collaborate with R&D IT leadership to drive requirements sessions.
- Lead the custom development & maintenance of applications, focusing on scalability, maintainability, security, and performance.
- Engage with cross-functional stakeholders on agile prototyping to find creative solutions for complex data use cases.
- Design and write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and assist in managing backlog / prioritization in JIRA.
- Collaborate with the software quality assurance team to test system functionality and provide diagnostic support.
- Engage with vendor resources on development projects and ensure best practices are followed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand R&D requirements and translate them into technical deliverables.
- Ensure R&D digital products meet quality and compliance guidelines, including GxP and GDPR.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the IT R&D Engineering team.
- Research and utilize new technologies across the R&D application spectrum on an ongoing basis.
Your Qualifications :
- Experience in Life Sciences, Biotech or Pharma industry is a must.
- Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software design and development, with 3+ years in Agile Product delivery teams.
- Proficient in software design principles, patterns, and practices; experience as a full-stack developer.
- Significant development experience in Java, Python, or similar; strong knowledge of React, Angular.js, and AWS Cloud services.
- Working knowledge of Big Data querying tools and relational databases.
- Strong technical knowledge of building REST Services.
- Proficient with CI / CD tools like AWS CodePipeline and Terraform.
- Experience with test-driven design and writing test cases.
- Familiarity with data science tools and AI / ML processes.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and documentation abilities.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified : Azure Developer Associate are a plus.

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is $114,375.00 - $190,625.00, considering skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
