Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Polymer Technician for testing, sample preparation and delivery / collection of samples and preparation of test reports.
Salary : $24- $28 / hr DOE
Responsibilities
- Interpretation of internal and client requirements
- Operating chemical testing procedures. Ability to safely work with hazardous chemicals essential
- Maintaining accurate and systematic records
- Application of instrumentation including DMA, DSC, TMA, TGA, HPLC, and / or FTIR
- Report writing, data interpretation and analysis
Skills / Qualifications
- HS Diploma required, Chemistry Degree or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in an appropriate Engineering environment is a distinct advantage
- Experience of working within a chemistry testing environment is advantageous
- An understanding of a recognized Quality Management Systems such as ISO 17025 is beneficial
- Self motivated Technician with the ability to multi task, organize and work under the pressure of a busy commercial mechanical test laboratory
