Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Polymer Technician for testing, sample preparation and delivery / collection of samples and preparation of test reports.

Salary : $24- $28 / hr DOE

Responsibilities

• Interpretation of internal and client requirements
• Operating chemical testing procedures. Ability to safely work with hazardous chemicals essential
• Maintaining accurate and systematic records
• Application of instrumentation including DMA, DSC, TMA, TGA, HPLC, and / or FTIR
• Report writing, data interpretation and analysis

Skills / Qualifications

• HS Diploma required, Chemistry Degree or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in an appropriate Engineering environment is a distinct advantage
• Experience of working within a chemistry testing environment is advantageous
• An understanding of a recognized Quality Management Systems such as ISO 17025 is beneficial
• Self motivated Technician with the ability to multi task, organize and work under the pressure of a busy commercial mechanical test laboratory
