Job Summary

The Clinical Neuroscience and Development Laboratory (CNDLab) focuses largely on studies involving children and adolescents.

New staff is needed to begin exciting new clinical research that will test novel psychiatric treatments in both pediatric and adult populations.

Responsible for recruiting, interviewing and collecting cognitive testing, behavioral, and biomedical data for multiple types of brain imaging studies in healthy populations and in patients with a variety of neuropsychiatric or neurodevelopmental conditions.

May work on one or multiple studies simultaneously. May learn to deliver brain stimulation or cognitive training methods.

Reports to the Lab Manager and Director.

This is an ideal position for an experienced clinical / psychiatric research assistant or for persons with aspirations for a professional career in clinical psychology or clinical neuroscience research who seek on-the-job training particularly those who might apply for graduate or medical school within the next several years.

Qualifications

Qualifications - External

Bachelor’s Degree in a field such as psychology, sociology, biostatistics or subject related to health care and psychiatry.

Research experience and knowledge of relevant research protocols, principles, and procedures.

Knowledge of federal ethical guidelines and / or Human Subjects training certification.

Experience with fMRI laboratory procedures (brain scans) using E-Prime or comparable experimentation software is advantageous.

Experience working with youth is preferred.

Experience in data software programs such as SPSS, R, and RedCap also preferred.

Previous experience conducting psychological assessments and cognitive testing, either from graduate school training or previous experience working in a clinical setting is preferred.
