The Division of Probation and Parole is hiring for an Administrative Specialist Sr. This position isprimarily an administrative position with the division.
This position will assist with all duties associatedwith the accreditation process for the division. Employees within this position may report to the DistrictSupervisor and / or Assistant Supervisors.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Entry of Data in Kentucky Offender Management System.
- Runs various reports in KOMS and compilesinformation for the District Outcome Measures report (DOAM).
- Assists District Supervisor with special projectsas assigned.
- Receives lab results from drug tests and forwards to appropriate staff.
- Maintains the inactivecaseload.
- Assign parole plans and transfers for investigation and form review.
- Compiles weekly reports.
- Maintains Parole to Hold cases for inactive status.
- Provides backup to Admin SpecII for Administrative caseload.
- Maintains Time and Attendance records.
- Assists the District Supervisor in maintaining work schedules,scheduling and setting up for staff meetings, scheduling and setting up for Morale committee meetings.
- Createsdocuments needed for office as necessary.

- Kentucky Offender Management data base knowledge and process
- Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
- Strong written and oral communication skills

- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments
- Willing to take on additional task as assigned

- Familiar with Excel and Outlook
- Positive and helpful attitude to support the district and division as a whole
- Ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the Department and Division
Minimum Requirements EDUCATION : Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS : Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE : Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION : Additional administrative, business, research, and / or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.) : NONE Working Conditions Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS
