About this position :
LMCU is looking for a Real Estate Collection Manager who will be responsible for leading the Real Estate Default area with collection activity on all Mortgage types and ensuring that all efforts from within the Real Estate area comply with all State, Federal and Investor Guidelines at all times.
What you’ll do :
Provide and track training sessions for all areas within Real Estate Default, including but limited to : FMAC, FNMA, USDA, VA & FHA Loans for all employees to ensure all policies, procedures and practices are in accordance with all State and Investor Guidelines.
Manage the Real Estate Default team by setting goals, monitoring progress and directing the workflow of the department to assure standards are met.
Perform competency evaluations, conduct employee training, and coach Real Estate Default team.
Monitor all loss mitigation options and activities, including but not limited to : collection calls, repayment plans, forbearance plans, short-sales, foreclosures, modifications to ensure all required steps and procedures are followed in accordance with State, Federal and Investor Guidelines.
Conduct monthly audits from within LMCU and third-party vendors ensuring that all required documentation is completed accurately and provide feedback to management.
Review all LMCU OREO properties on a monthly basis to ensure all efforts are being conducted to limit LMCU exposure.
Review DQ calling status at all stages of delinquency to ensure DQ levels of .15% or less on accounts 61 Days + Past Due and .
45% or less on Total DQ.
Work closely with VP of Loss Prevention to review other projects that require completion within the Real Estate Loss Prevention department.
Lead member service problem-solving efforts, along with VP of Loss Prevention.
What You’ll Bring : You’ll like this position if you have...
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, real estate, or a related field of study, preferred.
Three years to five years of similar or related experience in collections, property management, real estate, or a related field.
Previous supervisory experience, preferred.
Ability to drive and have a valid driver’s license.
Strong understanding of collection laws and regulations related to real estate.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex collection issues.
Knowledge of Symitar.
