Electrical Superintendent
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION DUTIES :

Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and cleaning of all electronic and electrical equipment.
Must be able to operate equipment necessary to move cable and portable equipment.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS :
Applicant with surface coal mine electrical maintenance experience and MSHA certification preferred. Must possess a strong working knowledge of AC and DC theory and equipment, test procedures, safe work practices, and electrical codes.
Knowledge and work experience with low, medium, and high voltage equipment and electronic controls as applied to large mining equipment is desired.
Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license.
Typical Physical Demands :
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires constant data input for extended periods of time without leaving the work area.
Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Requires mobility sufficient to travel.
Typical Working Conditions :
Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of related work experience.
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Licenses, Registration, and Certifications :
PE preferred.
