job summary : Responsibilities :
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for supervision and leadership of all employees assigned to area of responsibility.
- Trains and evaluates new temporary and regular employees with established department policies.
- Plans staffing needs and evaluates production requirements based on daily workload.
- Makes daily check of labor reports to determine inefficiencies and takes immediate corrective action.
- Responsible for communicating employee expectations and providing the tools to perform job functions and adhere to safety policies.
- Lead problem solving's and continuous improvements activities using A3 / 5 Why's process to obtain root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure daily walkthroughs are done with the outgoing supervisor. Ensure that 5S is being followed by all employees on a daily basis and address concerns as needed.
- Perform audits on scrap reports, in process quality inspections and standard work expectations.
- Meets required production and quality goals as determined by the department management staff.
- Maintains a safe and healthy workplace for employees in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Promotes a positive attitude towards safety.
Adheres to the requirements of safety policies as well as safety rules, instructions and procedures.
Practices continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for streamlining work and reducing waste. May participate in continuous improvement teams.

- working in a non-temperature controlled environment
- manual lifting up to 50lbs
- standing for 12 hours at one time
- working up to 15 hrs of overtime per week
