Job Description :
As a Respiratory Therapist (CRRT) will play a crucial role in the care of patients with respiratory conditions. Your responsibilities will include assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a variety of pulmonary issues, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with respiratory and cardiac conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Administer various respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and ventilator management.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and adjust plans as necessary, reporting changes to the healthcare team.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory health, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Stay current with advancements in respiratory therapy practices and technologies.
Requirements : Experience :
Experience :
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting, preferably in respiratory therapy.
Licensure :
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in the state of New York.
Certifications :
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Certification in Critical Care (CCRT) is preferred.
