Overview :
The Product Development Engineer plays a crucial role in the organization by leading the design, development, and testing of new products, ensuring they meet market requirements and company standards.
This position is integral in driving innovation and maintaining the company's competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications
- Design and develop product concepts using CAD / CAM software
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new product ideas
- Create prototypes and perform testing, analysis, and validation
- Optimize product designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise
- Work closely with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure smooth product transition to production
- Lead continuous improvement efforts for existing products
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Proven experience in product design and development
- Proficiency in CAD / CAM software and engineering analysis tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Good understanding of regulatory and quality requirements
- Effective communication and presentation abilities
- Hands-on experience with product testing and validation
