Manufacturer in the water wastewater industry. Design and manufacture wastewater meters and sensors that help municipalities and industries monitor their water and wastewater collection processes.
Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Product Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly, testing, inventory, and firmware development for our line of wastewater ultra-sonic water meters.
This a customer facing role for troubleshooting and technical support. This role requires a strong background in electronics, firmware programming in C++, Assembly and an understanding of water treatment systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assemble and test wastewater meters, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
- Maintain component finished product inventory using Fishbowl Software
- Develop and write firmware in Assembly and C++ for wastewater meters, optimizing for reliability and accuracy.
- Conduct troubleshooting and debugging of hardware and firmware issues for customer facing issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and improve product features.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for assembly processes, schematics, testing protocols, and firmware development.
- Design and implement IoT cellular communication solutions for meter applications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for water quality monitoring devices.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Proven experience in firmware development using Assembly and C++.
- Hands-on experience with electronics assembly and testing. Soldering + Circuit Testing
- Familiarity with water treatment processes and wastewater management is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. (Must be a self-starter)
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller programming.
- Knowledge of sensor integration and calibration.
- Proficiency in using electronic testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
- Understanding of communication protocols (Serial, IOT. Etc).
