Position Summary
The Business Control Manager - This role is a part of the Global Technology Business Management Controls Quality Assurance team overseeing the effectiveness and quality of technology change.
The GT Change Management Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and leading strong routines and a program to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of execution activities for GT owned change.
The program will guide technology executives, CIO teams and technology SMEs with training & recommendations during reviews, develop and communicate procedures as requirements change over time, challenge gaps in evidence, ensure documentation is appropriately executed in accordance with policy.
This senior position is focused on collaborating with technology teams, control partners, domain experts and risk and control officers to fully comply with change policy and reduce failures due to change.
Key responsibilities include ensuring capabilities are in place to drive the day-to-day execution of GT change procedures, including the implementation of LOB and ECF specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards.
Job expectations include providing oversight and establishing effective quality assurance and control processes. Leader will drive and report progress on execution of quality assurance of change to leadership on an ongoing basis.
The role must expertly balance the need to meet Enterprise Change Management requirements effectively but in a manner that supports Operational Excellence.
This position is a direct leader of staff and work efforts across matrixed teams who support Technology Change Management quality assurance activities end-to-end.
Qualifications :
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in technology change leadership
- 3+ years of leading moderate to large sized teams
- Effective partnering skills to enable navigation of the complexities associated with aligning stakeholders, building consensus and resolving conflicts;
proven ability to influence peers / stakeholders and representatives across multiple groups
Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, influencing the opinions and actions of key stakeholders and gaining their trust;
experience in effectively interacting with senior management
- Experience in process management, quality assurance, control measurement, testing or audit
- Expertise and understanding of Enterprise Change Policy and Standards
- Strong decision-making skills; proven ability to lead others, manage and develop team members
- Ability to coordinate and drive execution of priorities and meet deadlines to adhere with policies and standards
- Must have an Operational Excellence mindset. Will often be asked to solve complex problems but solve them in a way that doesn't create complex processes
- Can quickly "connect the dots" to demonstrate ability to identify and perform thematic analysis
- Engages with senior stakeholders to identify issues and control improvements for change management execution
- Ensures timely execution of QA activities including control execution, case management, and results reporting
