Assistant Controller

Description : The Assistant Controller will report directly to the USA Group Controller. This role involves various accounting and financial responsibilities, including the monthly close process, reporting, internal controls, asset management, and financial analysis.
The Assistant Controller will also work on enhancing procedures to improve the efficiency and accuracy of these processes.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities :
- Monthly Close Process : Play a key role in the monthly accounting close, ensuring complete and accurate accounting records.
- Journal Entries & Reconciliations : Prepare, review, and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting : Produce accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting schedules.
- Process Improvement : Implement, document, and maintain effective processes to improve cash applications, close, and reporting cycles.
- Analytical Review : Conduct analytical reviews from a balance sheet, income statement, bookings, and cash flow perspective.
- External Audit Support : Assist with external financial audits.
- Accounts Payable Management : Oversee the Accounts Payable team.
- Ad Hoc Reporting : Complete ad hoc reporting requirements and data analytics.
- Staff Training / Management : Train and manage general accounting staff.
Qualifications and Core Competencies :
- Education : BBA Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
- Experience : 7-10 years of accounting experience, including ERP software.
- Skills : Financial statement preparation and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, advanced Excel skills.
- Software : Experience with large ERP applications (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, LN).
- Communication : Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Management : Ability to effectively interface with all management levels and internal / external customers.
- Work Ethic : Strong work ethic with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Required Education :
Bachelors or higher in Accounting.
Required Experience :
5-7 years of accounting / management experience.
