Responsibilities
- Manage all controls and procedures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adequacy
- Collaborate with our internal audit service provider on control documentation and testing
- Research new accounting and SEC reporting requirements and prepare position papers
- Propose GAAP top-sided entries including the supporting assessments and NAV adjustments
- Assess financial data received from our fund administrator for accuracy and completeness
- Contribute to the NAV process and review fund administrator’s monthly NAV calculation
- Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, including REIT compliance and debt covenant
- Produce the 10Qs and the 10Ks and review XBRL / tagging of the 10Qs and the 10Ks
- Liaise with the tax director as well as service providers on all tax matters
Requirements
- 4+ years of SEC reporting experience
- Public (Big 4+) or combo background
- Open to industry background
- REIT knowledge is strongly preferred
- Experience with XBRL tagging is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Skilled in Workiva preferred
- CPA preferred
