Essential Job Duties Teaching responsibilities include introductory chemistry courses for science majors, courses for non-science majors, and advanced chemistry laboratory sections on the Jackson, Tennessee, campus.
Other Job Duties Required Qualifications Appropriate qualifications for chemistry adjunct include at least an undergraduate degree with a major or minor in chemistry plus substantial relevant laboratory experience, and knowledge of all the basic concepts encountered in undergraduate chemistry courses.
Candidate must be able to relate well to students, be able to clearly explain topics to be encountered in the courses to be taught, have a good working knowledge of common laboratory equipment, statistics to the chemical sciences, and a broad understanding of basic chemical principles.
