TRAVELING SUPERINTENDENT

This is a remote position.

RWE DesignBuild is looking for an experienced TravelingSuperintendent to lead our construction projects located throughoutthe US.

This position requires the candidate to lead constructionefforts and monitor the progression of schedules with frequentonsite checkins at our headquarters in the greater Chicagoarea.

• Becomefamiliar with and understand plans specifications site local codeslocal officials and inspectionprocedures
• Coordinate andmaintain construction schedules to ensure projects are beingcompleted according to drawings andspecs
• Ensures qualitystandards are being met throughout theproject
• Conduct meetings withsubcontractor representatives of the project on a daily and / orweekly basis to schedule and coordinate constructionactivities
• Ensure materials aredelivered to construction sites according to constructionschedules
• Work with ownersowner s reps architects and subcontractors to resolve any conflictsthat may arise and communicate any such conflicts immediately tothe ProjectManager
• Maintain daily logsprogress photographs and weeklyreports
• Complete and submitall paperwork asrequired
• Attend job meetingsand / or any other meetings as may be required for the successful andtimely completion of theproject(s)
• Schedule and attendall requiredinspections
• Compile and schedulepunch list items for completion as well as coordinate projectcloseouts

Requirements

• 510 yearsof experience as aSuperintendent
• MUST HAVE GROUND UPEXPERIENCE
• Must currently create an initial schedule forthe project and review weekly with sub contractors PMs and allStakeholders
• Mustpossess strong technical communication and computer skillsincluding competency with MS Outlook Excel Word and Dropbox anddocument management systems
• Knowledge of safety procedures regulationsand codes
• Local and National travel is required forthis position
• Ideal candidate will have experience in oneor more of the following areas : groundup construction additionsinterior remodels design buildcarpentry

Minimum of 5 years of demonstratedexperience as a Project Manager with a track record ofindependently managing Commercial Construction Projects.

Proficiency in utilizing construction management software such asProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera, HeavyBid, Civil 3D for efficientproject execution.

Strong time management skills to meet projectdeadlines effectively. Flexibility to occasional travel to variousproject sites as required.

Ability to thrive under pressure anddeliver results within tight deadlines. Exceptional negotiationskills along with proficiency in contract management for successfulproject outcomes.
