Position Summary :

Under limited supervision, provide technical support to manufacturing personnel. Prepare procedures / design equipment for manufacturing product to assure that adequate testing and inspection is accomplished to achieve the desired quality level.

Position Duties and Responsibilities :

Quality Control / Testing Activities

  • Analyze production failures to root cause and determine solutions
  • Design, troubleshoot and specify test equipment as needed
  • Create and maintain test procedures for manufacturing
  • Train Technicians on test processes and procedures
  • Provide technical support to MFG personnel
  • Module and board repair
  • Inspect product in response to specific MFG and Logistic complaints
  • Promote quality and quality policies throughout manufacturing department
  • Monitor the quality of all assembled product on the MFG floor
  • Issue CAR’s for nonconforming product as needed

Administrative / Support Activities

  • Maintain technical documents and documentation on MEAU products, as assigned
  • Maintain databases to ensure that the data is accurate and up to date
  • Generate specific reports from databases to present to upper management as needed

Minimal 5% or less

Education

BSEET, BS Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience

Essential Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Min 1-3 years’ experience troubleshooting to component level
  • Ability to develop and maintain in-depth technical knowledge on the latest MEAU product line
  • Technical writing
  • Customer service and phone support
  • Organization skills, i.e., for documentation, data, equipment, and time management
  • Computer skills, i.e., Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook

Beneficial Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 : 2015
  • Knowledge of CNC’s, servo amplifiers, control cabinets and / or industrial electronic products
  • Basic knowledge of component specification / application and test equipment design

Physical, Environmental, Cognitive Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to work extended hours / overtime when required
  • Operate handheld power tools
  • Ability to sit / stand / bend / stretch to access associated hardware
  • Ability to navigate in a factory environment
