Advanced Cleanup Technologies, Inc. (ACT) seeks local applicants for a permanent full-time Environmental Field Geologist position.
The Field Geologist will provide geological and environmental expertise for Environmental Site Assessments, Remedial Investigations, and Site Remediation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing site inspections, collecting environmental samples, supervising drilling, overseeing excavation, and preparing organized field notes for report preparation.
The position requires a strong background in geology, hydrogeology, and / or environmental remediation as well as the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including ACT Project Managers, subcontractors, and New York State and City Regulatory officials.
A Bachelor's Degree in Geology or similar is required to apply. Candidates must have a valid drivers license and must provide professional references and a writing sample upon submission.
Preferred Experience :
- Be able to relocate to within 50 miles of our Queens, NY office
- 2-5 Years experience as a Geologist with a consulting firm
- Experience with New York State Brownfield / Superfund sites
- 40 Hour OSHA Certification
- Proven ability to perform fieldwork including soil sampling and screening, groundwater sampling and site inspections
- Excellent teamwork skills
Field Geologist position shift is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and Paid Vacation are provided
