Summary Operating Title Prospect Research Analyst Long Classification Title Prospect Analyst I Campus Location Durham Department UNH Foundation Advancement Services Summary of Position The Prospect Research Analyst (PRA) works independently on research and prospect identification projects, consults with several fundraising teams and individual development officers, and partners on other prospect management efforts.
The PRA plays a direct role in the success of the University’s fundraising initiatives by identifying possible donors, estimating their giving potential, and supporting the strategic movement of prospects through the donor pipeline.
University Advancement has implemented a Hybrid / Remote Workplace. This is a hybrid position with the expectation that the employee resides within reasonable distance to the Durham, NH campus (under three hours) and is available to come to campus depending on the business needs of the team.

Bachelors Degree; 3 years of directly relevant experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of a broad range of research techniques, as well as familiarity with CRM / database systems.
- Exemplary communication skills, including the ability to synthesize research details into clear and concise prose.
- Excellent sense of organization with the ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous projects and deadlines.
- Strong aptitude for logical thinking, problem solving and intellectual curiosity.
- Sound judgement and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately and with discretion.
- Tact, diplomacy, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of people.
- High commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
