ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER - HOSPITALIST DEPARTMENT - MEDICINE

Job Details

Advanced Practice Provider Medicine Team Summary :

• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to hospitalized patients
• Experience in hospital medicine and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care

Advanced Practice Provider Medicine Team Responsibilities :

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and physical examinations
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with attending physicians
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other relevant tests
• Perform procedures such as central line placement, intubation, and wound care as needed
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and discharge planning
• Participate in daily rounds with the hospitalist team to review patient status and plan for ongoing care
• Document all patient interactions, diagnoses, and treatments accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Assist with discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care with outpatient providers
• Respond to emergencies and urgent medical situations as required
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards
• Engage in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advances in hospital medicine
• Capability to work long hours and respond to medical emergencies and work collaboratively with Attending
• Support throughput, length of stay and patient experience, support physician staff

Advanced Practice Provider Qualifications :

• Education : BS or MS degree in accredited Physician Assistant Program or MSN in accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Experience / skills : 2 years’ experience preferred
• Licensure : Current registration with NY Education Dept. as Physician Assistant. NCCPA Certification. ACLS, BLS

Salary Range

USD - USD / Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
