St. Charles Community College seeks a P art-time Assistant Coach - Cross Country / Track & Field responsible for assisting the Head Coach in the organization, management, and administration of a NJCAA Division III Track & Field / Cross Country program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Providing effective sport instruction during practice and meets.
- Recruiting student-athletes effectively under the direction of the Head Coach.
- Exhibiting the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with regard to adherence to NJCAA, MCCAC, College and the Department of Athletics
- Demonstrates effective organizational, promotional, recruitment, and fundraising strategies
- Handles the scouting, strength and conditioning training, travel arrangements, off-season program, camps, equipment distribution, and inventory
- Participating in department meetings and workshops to increase professional skills and knowledge.
- Assuming other responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Coaching experience at the college level (head / assistant), head or assistant coach at the senior high school level, or as a college or professional player.
- Demonstrate effective organizational, promotional, recruitment, fundraising, and computer skills.
- Experience with NJCAA compliance matters and the MVP site.
- Experience with NJCAA rules and regulations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
