Our client, a small manufacturing company, is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join their team. Reporting to the VP of Finance & Accounting, the Accounting Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day accounting, closing activities, financial statement preparation, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- General ledger maintenance including month end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Responsible for cash flow forecasting and cash management
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow
- Perform account analysis to ensure US GAAP compliance
- Cost accounting
- Conduct inventory management, annual counts, and analysis
- Support quarterly and annual audit processes
- Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience within the manufacturing industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
