Job Summary
The Server is responsible for serving food and beverages for our guests in an efficient and courteous manner.
General Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for presenting the menu to guests, answering questions, and making recommendations as necessary.
- Responsible for maintaining their tables and respecting steps of service.
- Take food and drink orders from guests accurately and with a positive attitude.
- Input orders on the POS system and present them to kitchen team members.
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner.
- Must have knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
- Upsell the restaurant’s food and cocktails.
- Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Collect payments from tables.
- Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
- Help food preparation staff when necessary.
- Always present a clean and professional appearance.
- Interact in a courteous and professional manner with guests, supervisors, and team members.
- Any other tasks as assigned.
Experience / Education :
- High School diploma preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of restaurant experience as a Server.
- Must obtain a food handler’s license.
Physical / Cognitive Requirements :
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time during the course of shift.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with team members.
- Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
- Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry 25 pounds.
Communication :
- Individual must be enthusiastic and concerned with job and company as whole.
