Job Description
An Administrative Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who works with a diverse group of professionals and functions within the Nursing Organizational structure.
The Administrative Supervisor is involved in every aspect of the care delivery system. He / She has responsibilities to plan, direct, control, coordinate and implement policies and procedures, and / or programs relative to unit operations and nursing services.
The Administrative Supervisor is responsible for management of assigned unit(s) off tours, and is the senior hospital administrator onsite.
He / She will escalate more serious events related to nursing service concerns to the AOC (Administrator-on call) during weekends, holidays and off tours.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS :
A. Education Required : Graduate of accredited school of Nursing.
Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
Master’s degree in Nursing or closely related degree preferred.
B. License(s) Required : Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York
State.
C. Experience / Skills Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience including one year in a leadership
Required : position. Course in Nursing specialty and supervision. Demonstrated competence as a nursing practitioner. Concern for professional growth and awareness of health care and social trends.
