DIRECT SERVICE PROVIDER (DSP) ICS (Individual Community Supports)

Easterseals PORT Health, a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia, seeks compassionate, caring, and dedicated individuals to become full or part-time Caregivers (internally called DSPs) to our clients living with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges.

We are hiring for the following locations and shifts :

Murfreesboro . Schedule is Mondays 8am to 9pm; Tuesdays 830am to 9 : 30pm; Wednesdays 8 : 30am to 9 : 30pm- Full care case.

Ideally the staff should have experience with caring for an adult who needs full care and support with bathing, eating, etc.

There is also lifts available to help with transfers, and also an equipped vehicle is available to help with transporting the client into the community.

What You’ll Do :

Your care will make a huge difference in the lives of the people you will be helping. You will help our clients with their daily living activities, including employment support, as well as keep them socially engaged in activities so their days are enjoyable and meaningful.

Daily documentation and reporting are required. You will provide care in the individual’s personal home and may transport the individual out in the local community as needed.

In this position, you will assist individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities learn and maintain the skills needed to gain greater independence at their home or program, and while engaging within the community.

Under the supervision of a program supervisor or manager, DSPs help clients learn socially appropriate daily living skills.

In addition to supporting clients, DSPs also offer families much needed breaks.

What We’re Looking For :

To join our team, you must have a willingness to provide care in various community settings. We require proof of a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, a good driving record and current auto insurance.
