Our client is seeking a highly skilled Director of Accounting to join their team in Linthicum Heights, MD. This hybrid role offers the perfect blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, working 2 days onsite and 3 days remote.

Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements within the organization.
Job Responsibilities of Director of Accounting :
- Lead and oversee the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in line with GAAP.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications of Director of Accounting :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification required
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership / managerial role.
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP and healthcare industry regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
