Job Objective :
Provides drilling and workover engineering functions ensuring application of technical limits methodology and risk assessment in drilling and workover planning and execution.
Essential Job Responsibilities :
- Designs and coordinates well concept planning and design.
- Assesses the drilling, financial and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) risks involved in company’s drilling, completion, and workover operations.
- Provides rigsite technical support during critical / unusual operations.
- Coordinates drilling operations with other disciplines, including contractors and regulatory agencies during the planning and supervision of drilling, workover, and completion operations.
- Develops and coordinates scopes of work, evaluates, and recommends contractors to provide best-fit services and materials for drilling operations.
- Adheres to the company’s values integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
- Supports company vision and mission.
- Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications :
- Eight (8) to twelve (12) years minimum oil and gas drilling, operations and engineering experience in oil and gas exploration and development.
- Prior experience designing and coordinating well concept plans, programs and designs.
- Prior experience assessing the drilling, financial, and Health, Safety and Environmental risks involved in drilling, completion and workover operations in addition to coordinating all drilling operations.
- Ability to accurately solve problems and exceptional proficiency in data management. Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Self-starter with proven leadership skills, team player, and comfortable working under pressure.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex computer / information system’s information into an organized and presentable manner.
- Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software :
Required : Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Education Requirements :
- Required : Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in engineering, or closely related field.
