IMMEDIATE NEED!!! Building Automation Controls Technician The Building Automation Controls Technician is responsible for completing service calls while maintaining positive client relations Duties

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to emergency service calls on existing BMS systems.
  • Troubleshoot installations and rectify deficiencies independently.
  • Effectively communicate with customers to evaluate service needs, maintain proper scheduling and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor customer buildings to ensure optimum performance standards are being achieved. Fine tune systems as new programs and sequences are developed.
  • Recognize opportunities for further building enhancements, execute upgrades, and conduct small-scale retrofits on existing systems.
  • Perform building surveys and work with Service Manager on estimating additional work.
  • Perform necessary software programming, equipment start-up, tuning and calibration and commissioning of BAS systems.
  • Be proficient in knowledge of following equipment : VAVs, Exhaust Fans, Unit Vents, AHUs, Hot Water Systems, Chiller Water Systems, and Lighting.
  • Stay informed of industry developments for energy savings strategies.
  • Effectively provide feedback to supervisor for ways to improve the installation process.
  • Stay current on technical data and solutions for existing problems and updates.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as needed and approved by management. Qualifications
  • Field experience in the HVAC controls industry including DDC Systems commissioning, software integration operation, calibration and experience with pneumatic controls.
  • Knowledge of Automated Logic commissioning tools and field circuit debugging skills.
  • Understanding of the construction industry with emphasis in mechanical / electrical fields.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Strong communication, organizational and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and various operating systems.
  • Proven track record of completing projects, being self-motivated and achieving customer satisfaction.
  • Deploy, revise, checkout, and commission building automation, DDC, energy management and controls systems hardware, software and graphics.

Salary range : 55K to 105K depending on experience. Veterans Are Encouraged to Apply
