Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Burr Ridge, IL.
The Electrical Engineer will work closely with a full-service team to deliver fully integrated, high-quality design packages.
This role involves assessing client needs, ensuring compliance with industry codes, and prioritizing personnel safety while achieving client goals.
Project scopes will vary from greenfield projects to retrofits and equipment upgrades at existing facilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Execute electrical engineering design scope for single and multi-discipline projects while ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
- Ensure quality and technical accuracy of project deliverables, including calculations and design efforts.
- Meet engineering schedule and budget objectives on assigned projects.
- Self-perform design of low voltage (600V and below) industrial power distribution systems.
- Assist in the design of medium voltage (MV) power distribution systems, including the selection, specification, and incorporation of MV equipment.
- Assist in short circuit / arc flash / coordination and load studies.
- Self-perform the specification and design modification of MCCs, including single lines and layout of MCCs.
- Self-perform the design of cable tray and conduit systems and the specification of low-voltage distribution equipment.
- Participate in construction support, startup, and commissioning efforts.
- Interface with clients on a regular basis.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, or related discipline, required.
- 5+ years of electrical design experience.
- Exposure to EasyPower and / or SKM software.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit software.
- Experience with load studies required.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
- Industrial power distribution experience required.
- Ability to specify power distribution equipment.
- Field exposure to various manufacturing, industrial, commercial, or institutional environments.
