Overview : As the Facilities Maintenance Manager at Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. You will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our dealership. This position requires a proactive and skilled individual with a strong technical background and a commitment to excellence in facility maintenance.
Facility Maintenance :
- Knowledge of all aspects of a facilities, mechanical operation and maintenance of systems
- Perform miscellaneous repairs such as changing lights, painting, door repairs as well as perform or schedule maintenance of small mechanical equipment
- General HVAC knowledge
- Maintain and adjust internal HVAC monitoring system
- Coordinate janitorial staff
- Schedule and oversee annual fire inspections and repairs
- Schedule and supervise all dealership repairs (plumbing, electrical, AC, miscellaneous repairs and landscaping)
- Automated door system knowledge a plus
Groundskeeping and Landscaping :
Oversee lawn and shrubbery maintenanceMaintain the cleanliness and appearance of the dealership's exterior spaces, including parking lots, walkways, and landscaping.Perform leaf removal as neededInventory Management :
Ordering and stocking of make ready and dealership suppliesKeep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and supply levels.Assist in maintaining an organized inventory of tools and supplies, replenishing stock as needed.Collaborate with management to identify cost-effective solutions for maintenance needs and supply procurement.Team Support :
Collaborate with other contract maintenance technicians and groundskeepers to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of maintenance projects.Provide support to dealership staff as needed, responding to maintenance requests and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous mannerQualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a relevant field preferred.Proven experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a commercial or automotive environment.Strong technical skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Bilingual is a plusBenefits :
