The requirements for this position are as follows :
EDUCATION :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
At least 3-5 years of relevant design experience required.
QUALIFICATIONS :

REPORTS TO : Director, Engineering
LOCATION : Elgin, IL
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Leads and coordinates engineering functions to support the design and manufacture of grinding systems including quality assurance, testing, production, and research and development of new and existing product lines.
Creates concept designs for use in proposals. Contributes in the designing of critical assemblies and parts.
Maintains model and drawing workflow compliance in CAD file vault.
Maintains BOM workflow compliance within ERP system.
Facilitates communication among engineers, ensuring specifications, budgets, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood.
Serves as project design lead for multiple projects, creating timelines and cost projections, organizing collaborative meetings, and ensuring projects comply with specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Reviews work and projects for technical accuracy.
Contributes to outlining and maintaining administrative policies, procedures, and standards.
Maintains knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; applies this knowledge to continually improve product lines and production efficiency.
Performs other duties as assigned.
