Our client has an immediate need for a Mechanical Assembler to join their team in Lynwood CA. Applicants must be US Citizens and able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Primary Responsibilities
- Assembly of complex electro-mechanical systems and sub-systems including experience with and soldering
- Test and data collection using a variety of lab equipment such as : Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters, Impedance Analyzers
- Maintain high quality standards of workmanship
- Ensuring an organized and clean workspace including total preventive maintenance of equipment, tooling, and fixtures
- Foster the environment of continuous improvement
- Disciplined in the process of following precise work instructions
- Open to be cross trained in different skills
Basic Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- year of relevant experience or recent study at a vocational trade school
- Ability to assemble small components into compact subsystems
- Proficiency with basic hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Must be able to lift up to lbs without assistance
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand assembly drawings
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools
- Conform with Electrostatic Discharge Safety, Foreign Object Debris, and EH&S requirements
- Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance
Additional skills and experience that are nice to have but not required and can be trained.
- Solder certification
- Handling hazmat with proper safety regulations
- Operating an overhead jib / crane
- Viewing assemblies in CAD software
- Operating a forklift
- Picking parts and kitting work orders
- Production stress screen machine setup, operation, and changeover experience
- Assembling products in single piece flow
- ISO : Quality Management Standards
- Working in world-class lean manufacturing environment
