As an initial member of Slalom's new AI Center for Life (AIC4L), you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the foundation and early success of AIC4L, leading efforts to harness the transformative potential of AI / Generative AI in the Healthcare and Life Sciences sectors.

What You'll Do

Design and Deliver AI-Powered GRC Solutions : Collaborate with Slalom markets, practice leaders, and account teams to design and implement scalable AI-driven GRC frameworks tailored for the HCLS industry.

Integrate Slalom's capabilities to ensure comprehensive solutions, including project phasing, staffing, resource allocation, and cost estimation, while leveraging AI insights for proactive governance and strategic decision-making.

  • Integrate AI into GRC : Lead the integration of AI / GenAI and other emerging technologies into GRC practices. Use predictive analytics, automated compliance monitoring, and advanced risk assessment techniques to drive innovation and improve governance processes.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance : Lead AI initiatives to ensure compliance with global regulatory standards such as FDA, EMA, HIPAA, and GDPR.

Utilize AI for continuous monitoring and automated compliance checks in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sectors, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Manage Risks Effectively : Implement robust strategies to manage AI-introduced enterprise risks like financial, operational, and technical risks.

Leverage AI-powered tools for risk identification, assessment, and mitigation, enhancing audit accuracy and efficiency through automated anomaly detection.

Enhance Data Privacy and Security : Develop and enforce data privacy policies with a focus on AI-enhanced data protection.

Implement advanced encryption techniques and AI-based threat detection systems to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with data security regulations.

  • Promote Ethical Compliance : Champion ethical standards and corporate responsibility within the organization. Use AI to monitor adherence to codes of conduct, ensuring transparency in reporting mechanisms and enhancing ethical compliance across the board.
  • Provide Strategic Leadership : Foster a T-shaped leadership style, balancing deep technical expertise with a broad understanding of related disciplines, and delivering exceptional customer-focused solutions.
  • Drive Market Campaigns and Sales Initiatives : Drive market campaigns to introduce AIC4L to potential clients, actively engaging in sales strategies to generate demand for our innovative AI solutions.

Leverage your expertise and network to identify opportunities, build client relationships, and convert market interest into tangible business growth.

What You'll Bring

  • Industry Experience : Over 10 years of proven experience in the Life Sciences and Healthcare (HCLS) industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry dynamics and trends.
  • AI / GenAI Experience : Strong understanding of AI and Generative AI technologies, with practical experience applying these technologies in the HCLS sector to drive compliance, productivity, innovation and improve outcomes.
  • GRC Expertise : Extensive experience in developing and implementing Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) frameworks in the HCLS industry, with a strong focus on AI-driven insights and proactive governance.
  • Regulatory Expertise : In-depth understanding of global regulatory standards, including FDA, EMA, HIPAA, and GDPR. Proven ability to ensure compliance in complex regulatory environments, utilizing AI for continuous monitoring and adherence.
  • Risk Management Acumen : Demonstrated success in implementing effective risk management strategies, including financial, operational, and technical risks.

Experience with AI-powered tools for risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.

Consulting / Startup Experience : Experience in consulting or startups, showcasing adaptability, agility, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving success in fast-paced environments.

Customer Experience : Experience in sales or business development, with a keen ability to understand, anticipate, and meet customer needs.

Demonstrates a customer-obsessed mentality, fostering long-term client relationships.

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom prides itself on helping team members thrive in their work and life. Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position at the Principal level the base salary pay range is $122,000 to $225,000.

For this position at the Sr. Principal level the base salary pay range is $140,000 to $258,000. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.

The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
