Job Summary
Perform intermediate level secretarial duties, including maintaining records and files; answer multiple phone lines, direct calls, take messages;
compile and type correspondence, reports, and minutes from written or dictated material. Position involves covering main office front desk, with responsibilities including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, directing walk-in traffic and assisting with student / visitor questions.
Assist with School events and program logistics, including scheduling and arranging requested services, managing program equipment, oversight of program record-keeping and correspondence, and event setup.
Comfortable with speaking in public, conducting tours with prospective students, and assisting with promotional efforts, including occasionally running informational booths.

Experience working in an office
Customer service experience Preferred Qualifications Awareness of College policies, procedures, and operations.
Professional communication and customer service.
Basic accounting skills and some graphic design experience a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Needs knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Windows, electronic mail and voice messaging, minutes or note taking, and database usage and entry.
Proficient typing skills with the ability to learn a variety of software programs. Ability to operate office equipment with knowledge of general office procedures.
Must be able to work with confidential documents.Detail and accuracy orientated with the capacity to work well under pressure and complete multiple tasks effectively.
Must have effective communication, customer service and diplomacy skills. Self-motivated team player with the ability to organize and set priorities.
Available to work flexible hours if needed.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
