LC State invites applications for the position of Building Facility Specialist.
Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications : $17.00 - $19.19 per hour
Required Qualifications :
- Some knowledge of adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing whole numbers.
- Experience :
- providing customer service
- explaining and applying policies and procedures
- using tools, equipment, materials, and common practices used in facility preparation including custodial work
- setting work priorities
- interpreting written and oral instructions
- Work involves repetitively lifting and carrying items weighing up to 60 pounds; standing and walking during eight hour shift;
bending, stooping, climbing stairs and ladders, and operating lifts. Positions require working up to 30 feet above floor level.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- Experience in one or more of the maintenance trades, namely electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, or grounds keeping.
- Performing basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and sheet metal work.
- Starting and checking for proper operation of HVAC / maintenance type equipment and related devices.
Responsibilities :
- Performs basic facility and equipment maintenance and cleaning; monitors cleanliness of facility; performs basic equipment repairs;
- replaces light bulbs; performs special projects as assigned. Coordinate and provide equipment and facility set-up for meetings, conferences, and special events;
provide customer service to building patrons; monitor facility use and ensure conformance with policies and procedures; perform facility maintenance, grounds maintenance and cleaning; perform related work.
