Purpose
As a valued member of Divergent's dynamic and dedicated team of specialized technicians, you will play a crucial role in the setup, operation, monitoring, and changeover of Additive Manufacturing (AM) machines.
These machines are pivotal in supporting Divergent's vehicles and external customers.
This is a 4x10 Shift Sunday through alternating Wednesday or alternating Wednesday to Saturday
AM-5AM 4 : 30PM
PM-4PM-3 : 30AM
The Role
Within this role, you'll be tasked with monitoring machine and documenting various operational metrics, material consumption rates, inventory management, and build times.
Your contribution will extend beyond day-to-day operations to encompass participation in the team's efforts to enhance Additive Manufacturing hardware, streamline processes, and embrace continuous improvement initiatives.
Your responsibilities will also include but are not limited to loading and unloading machines, sieving powder, depowdering builds as well as clean as you go tasks.
The AM Machine Technician position offers a hands-on opportunity to gain invaluable insights into the intricacies of AM equipment functions, insights that are often unknown by other departments and management teams within Divergent.

Basic Qualifications
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
- High school diploma / GED
- 2+ years' work experience with proven long term success within previous employment
- Proven ability to operate / work with complex processes and equipment including but limited to precision medical equipment, Robotics equipment and / or Metallic Additive Manufacturing (AM) machines
- Ability to work with complex software interfaces to ensure the highest fidelity information for our internal and external customers
- An attitude that insists on the highest standards : quality, attention-to-detail, and dedication to the rigors necessary to pursue Divergent's goals
- Ability to show technical process thinking, an eye for process improvement and demonstrated ability to adhere to schedule constraints
- Basic proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion

Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years hands on Metallic Additive Manufacturing production experience
- Associate degree in applicable technical discipline from an accredited school or institution : Mechanical, Manufacturing Technology, Electromechanical, Optics, Lasers, Machining, etc.
- 2+ years manufacturing experience in an advanced technology operations environment
- Experience with SLM Solutions additive manufacturing equipment, such as SLM280 and 500 machines
- Familiarity with the practice of quality processes in an ISO 9001, AS9100, and / or IATF 16949 environment
- Experience with other industrial 3D printing technologies such as FDM / FFF / ME
Work Environment
- Ability to walk, kneel, reach, climb, use hands to operate machinery in warehouse, as required
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, as required to execute a repair
- The person in this position needs to frequently work in a factory environment to access and repair machinery (up to 100%)
Pay Range
$23.25 $35 USD
