California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in the Department of Finance, Real Estate, and Law.

The new faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in corporate finance and investments. The successful candidate must also have a strong commitment to research and scholarly activities, and service to the Department, College, University and Community.

Minimum requirements include :

• Candidates must have a Ph.D. or DBA degree in Finance or a related field at the time of appointment.

• Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence
• Demonstrated potential to publish in peer-reviewed journals
• Demonstrated potential to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and / or service, and of commitment to teaching and working in a multicultural environment

Preferred / Desired Qualifications :

• Evidence of developing and / or advising student-focused experiential learning activities
• Expertise in corporate finance
• Expertise in investments
• Previous peer-reviewed journal publications in Finance
• Teaching experience at university level

• Cover letter in which you describe your interest in the position, relevant experience, and how you meet the minimum and preferred qualifications;

• Curriculum vitae;
• Three letters of recommendation;
• Evidence of past teaching experience, such as student evaluations and sample teaching portfolios, if available;
• Statement of research and at least one sample of research (job market papers, publications of research projects); and
• Unofficial transcript showing highest degree earned.

Finalists for the position will :

• be required to provide official transcripts for highest degree before the on-campus interview; and
• be expected to make scholarly and teaching presentations.

The position is open until filled. First consideration will be given to completed applications received no later than September 16, 2024.

Salary Range for Academic Year, Nine-Month Appointment : $134,000 - $138,600.
