We are seeking dedicated RN Managers to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and asmay be required by the DON or Administrator, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

The RN Unit Manager is responsible for managing the clinical care of residents by assigning different tasks to nurses within the department ensuringnursingcareisprovidedthroughassessment,implementation,andevaluationoftheplanofcare.

RN Managers must have the following :

• NursingDegreeordiplomafromanaccreditedCollegeorUniversity.
• PossessacurrentlicensetopracticeintheStateasaRegisteredNurse.
• 2+yearsofsupervisoryexperiencepreferred.
• Long-TermCareandMDSexperiencepreferred.
• Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
• Strong interpersonalandteamdevelopmentskills.
• Graciousandwelcomingpersonalityforcustomerserviceinteraction.
• Abilitytorelatepositively,effectively,andappropriatelywithresidents,families,community members, volunteer, and other facility staff.

As a skilled, compassionate RN Manager, you will :

Makesfrequentroundstonoteresident / patientconditionsandtoensurenursingpersonnelare performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.

Ensures appropriate staffing levels are met assigns staff to units as needed.

Givesandreceivesthenursingreportuponreportinginandendingshiftdutyhours.

Ensures assigned work area (i.e. nurse station, med. Cart, medication room, etc.), resident / patientcareroomsandtreatmentareasaremaintainedinacleanandsanitarymanner.

Ensuresmedicationroomsandmedicationcartsarelockedaccordingtoregulation.

Monitorssuppliesandordersasneeded.

AttendsregularlyconductedstaffmeetingsasscheduledbytheDirectorofNursing / Unit Manager.

Managesandparticipatesregularlyincontinuingeducationin-serviceprograms.

Assists the Directorof Nursing in directing the day-to-day functions of the nursingactivities in accordancewithcurrentrules,regulations,andguidelinesthatgovernthelong-termcarefacility.

Managestheclinicalcareofresidentsbyassigningdifferenttaskstonurseswithinthe department..

Participatesinfacilitysurveys(inspections)madebyauthorizedgovernmentagenciesas requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing Services.

Assistswithand / oradmitstransfer,anddischargeresidentsasrequired.

Completesaccident / incidentreports orinvestigation asnecessary.

Performsadministrativedutiessuchascompletingmedicalforms,reports,evaluations,studies, charting, etc., as necessary.

Providesstafftrainingtonursingdepartmentmembers,residentsand / orfamilymemberson policies and procedures as directed by the DON.

Ensuresthatthorough,accuratecommunicationtakesplacebetweennursingshiftstofacilitate follow up on resident care needs.

Conductsshiftmeetingswithnursesandnursingassistants.

Greetsnewlyadmittedresidentsuponadmission.Escortsthemtotheirroomsasnecessary.

Other duties as directed by supervisor.
